Bedford Dramatic Club was founded in 1929 and has continued to grow and produce fantastic productions ever since. From classics to farces, to good old musicals and gripping dramas. Whatever it is, the BDC are sure to have given it a go!

The BDC produce 3 to 4 plays a year with varying themes, size of cast, directors etc. and within all of these, a range of different roles are available; from acting to stage crew, to sound and lighting, to set design/building, to costumes and make-up, prompt, even (perhaps) directing your own show… There's so much to get involved in!

As if that isn't enough, there are always the social aspects… play readings, theatre trips, the pub (after rehearsals) and a meal out on a production night. There're lots of friends to be made and lots of fun to be had!

And for those of you who aren't interested in getting involved actively, why not give us your details and get put on our mailing list? You'll be kept up to date with all our activities throughout each year, so there's no excuse to miss a thing! Or better still, become a 'Friend of the BDC' and take advantage of the many privileges on offer, such as: cheaper tickets, an after show party with the cast (drinks and nibbles provided) and a backstage pass!
